A research team at Princeton University has succeeded in interweaving tissue with electronics using 3D printing technology. The technique allowed the researchers to combine antenna electronics with tissue within the highly complex topology of a human ear. Thus creating a functional ear that can “hear” radio frequencies far beyond the range of normal human capability. The main goal of this research was to discover the possibilities of merging electronics with tissue to create bionic organs and devices that enhance human capabilities.Looks like the future of printing body parts and organs is getting closer.
