Formlabs Form 3 Resin Tank V2.1

The Form 3 Resin Tank V2.1 is essential hardware for the Form 3 and Form 3B 3D printers. It is necessary to enable Low Force Stereolithography (LFS).

The flexible dual-layer film on this tank flexes with the Form 3’s optical system as it moves to transmit the lightest possible force on prints. This action, which occurs during the peel process, solves the biggest issue with inverted SLA – heavy peel forces that negatively affect the print as it separates from the surface of the tank.

The Resin Tank V2.1 is the newest version of the tank. Whereas Resin Tank V1 is not compatible with Castable Wax 40 Resin, Elastic Resin, Rigid Resin or Grey Pro Resin, V2 is compatible with these three materials. It is also compatible with all other Formlabs’ Resins, enabling you to print the widest range of resins with one tank.

The Form 3 and Form 3B have software that monitors the health of Tank V2 with firmware version 1.4.8 or newer.
